Hair Padding How To
As you may have heard via my podcast I'm all about the home made hair padding. It's much more cost efficient than other pre-made one and much more organic looking (and easier to hide) that a sock bun product. If you're a visual person like me I wanted to give you a step my step guide.
Step 1: Lay you artificial hair extension out (density you want) and tie off the one end with an elastic.
Step 2: Tease the rest of the extension to the appropriate/desired amount.
Step 3: Roll bottom up 1 turn, so it folds up by about 2-3" depending on how big you want it.
Step 4: Rotate that section 90 degrees and roll up again.
Step 5: Repeat until the end.
Step 6: Tuck in the "tail" and tie together with an elastic. You can add a netting if you choose. If you do I advise a loop stitch where the netting joins.
Now if you're wondering why I care so much about the padding for updos and want to take a listen you can hear the podcast here .
