Wedding Morning Pre Beauty Checklist

Wedding mornings are so busy it’s so easy to let time slip by and forget little tasks before receiving your beauty services. Don’t worry though! We’ve compiled an easy to follow checklist you can reference the morning of your wedding before receiving services. Some of these tips are also applicable for your trial! Ready? Here we go!

  1. Is your hair clean? If not it should be washed before receiving services. ( Clean equals less than 24 hours since it’s been washed).

  2. Is your hair dry ? If not you should blowdry it. Your hair needs to be 100% dry. If it’s cool to the touch it’s still damp at it’s core.

  3. Is your face clean and free of makeup? If not go wash your face. Prep per the MUA’s instructions.

  4. Will your shirt be able to go over your hair and face without damaging it? If not change into something that you can easily remove post styling.

  5. Have your items been steamed that need to be steamed? If not either do it or assign to someone who has not had their hair/makeup done. The steam will impact the integrity of the hair and makeup.

  6. Do you have your inspiration and/or trial photos? Don’t spend time while you’re in the chair scrolling through a million photos to find them. Have them saved in an easily accessible album that you don’t need wifi to access just in case.

  7. Do you have your accessories? If not gather them. The photographer may need them for details but let the artist at least see them for planning purposes. If the photographer takes them make sure they are back before the end of the appointment time or plan to have them put in during touch ups.

  8. Do you have your veil? While it’s typically put in or demo’d before the artist departs let them see the way it attaches in case they need to plan logistics to accommodate.

  9. Do you have extensions? If yes, bring them over to the beauty chair. The HMUA will need them at the start to be able to incorporate them into your hairstyle.

  10. Do you have your creature comforts? Creature comforts as in your drink, food, vow book, phone etc… really anything you want/need. This prevents you from hopping up and down while the the artist is trying to complete your work in the allocated time.
