Wedding Weekend in Review ( 3/26/22-3/27/22)
Did you know the “official” start of wedding season is April? Many seasons before I would probably agree with you but this year we’re off to such. rolling start it feels like we’re well past the start line once that buzzer for wedding season commencing finally sounds. This past weekend I ( Ashley) even had a double header! It’s wild but lets dive into what happened.
On March 26th we has 2 weddings: 1 in DC & 1 in TN. The wedding with Ashley was in Admore TN at King B Farm . Our bride ( Breana) was a last minute ( 3 weeks prior) addition but not because of poor planning on her part. Her original stylist cancelled on her 3 weeks before her wedding because she forgot her kid has a softball game ! I’m sorry not to sound shady but that’s not cool. If you have to cancelled there better be a real deal emergency. Like an ER emergency. Anyways , as unfortunate as this way for Breana it led her to us thanks to a referral from Oliva Sparks who provided makeup the day of. It was great to work together & to bring to life a dream look that the bride had so desired.
March 26th was also Katy’s wedding day in DC at The Line Hotel with Michelle & Gabriela . Talk about retro waves & old Hollywood glam. There’s just something about the poise & sultry looks that the entire crew nailed that will stop you in your tracks. Also an incredible getting ready space with it’s AMPLE lighting, fun details & accommodating staff. Can’t go wrong ! The wedding took place at the Meridian House . Other vendors include Sara Young Weddings & Events ( Planner), Wild Lillies Events ( assistant planner ) , Well Dunn Catering ( catering ), Dan Goldman Events (DJ), & Precious Pics Productions ( photographer). Dream team ! See y’all again soon ;)
On Sunday, March 27th Katelyn did a hair & makeup trial for bride to be Alana in Huntsville, AL. We were so excited to work with a natural red head & show those sweet freckles & bring out all the natural dimensional tones in her hair. Alana tried both an updo & half up look. Both beautiful options but we’ll see what she chooses with her wedding next month! Fun celestial hair pieces were incorporated too!
Then to round out the weekend , I (Ashley) was celebrating with bride to be Hayley at Hampton Cove Wedding Venue. Before we could celebrate she had a little emergency due to an allergic reaction to eye lash extension service . Fortunately a vendor friends of our (who did NOT) perform the original service was able to save the day, help remove the original adhesive & soothe the reaction to where by the time she was getting ready you’d never had known. Seriously show some love to the hero of the day- Megan of Mariposa Beauty. So per Murphey’s Law that was past us & only good things from there on out! Her vibes were “dark Snow White” or “dark princess”… just think if Middle Earth, Disney & a dash of Twilight had a baby. YUP! That’s the vibe. She pulled it off beautifully in her Maggie Sottero dress & I can’t wait to see the images back from Amandalyn Photography. Everything was simply magical. Other vendors include JNF Weddings ( videographer), Your Perfect Party (DJ), La Mariee Bridal ( dress shop), & Becky Hartley (catering).
What a wild and wonderful wedding weekend ! Here’s to all the happy couples & thank you for choosing us to be a part of your special day. Want to work with us ? Click HERE to reach out now!
